Omega Aquaterra Date Setting

An observation that is quicker to set the date of one of my Seiko Alpinists versus setting on the date on the Aquaterra. The photo suggests that I last wore the AT c. 19th September. I come to wear it today, the 16th of October, and need to spend an age on the advancing hour method. Still a great watch though.

You could have the jump hour go in reverse, and you'd only have to go down 3 days!

Is that a Heuer Chronograph?

Thats the trade-off you make with jumping hour. Convenient if you mainly wear the same watch and travel often, not so helpful if you dont.

The manual is in my loft - I'll recheck one day but until then I'll be conventional and only adjust forwards!

Makes sense. Though, with jump hour, yiu can move forward and backward without any issues at all - one of the key reasons I prefer GS GMTs is that there is no “danger zone” associated with date changes, like there is with typical quickset date complications.
