Yeah, that’s a big part of it. If I get more then that means less wrist time for something I already own. Where that line is is certainly dependent on the person collecting!

Yeah I get that. Definitely not trying to force it. I’ve just always loved the idea of having one watch that I go through life with, collecting memories, but that is also so hard when I’m drawn to so many different watches, even when I haven’t yet created memories with them
I make choices the same way. If it’s a different style (or even if not) I like to have dial color variety and find it fun to match it to what I’m wearing
I use a Bergeon 6767 spring bar tool I got for like $25 on Amazon. It’s solid for me, but I can’t say I’m knowledgeable enough to know if there’s better options. And I totally get that worry! I waited a while before I gave it a shot for that reason but eventually figured I’m scratching the rest of the case wearing it often so I might as well just lean into it and have fun haha
