My first Seiko: SBDJ057

I spotted this on CataWiki and it's the first Seiko diver that immediately drew my attention. The dial is really sweet, showing the waves from below the surface. It's a limited edition, but knowing Seiko it's probably 1 of 20.000 ... Anyway, a PADI solar with such a cool colourway, divers extension, JDM.. but it's definitely not on my shortlist.

An impulse last second bid later I bought a watch 🤦‍♂️

After customs and FedEx fees I spent a total of 285€. I think that's a fair price and it ticks quite a lot of boxes that were missing in my collection. What do we think?

It wears great on wrist too! Only 10.7mm thick, huge difference with my Duro

Great looking watch. I wholeheartedly recommend Long Island Watch's jubilee if you ever want to switch out the stock one. Price isn't bad either!

We like, we like! There are thousands of excellent first Seikos (and seconds, and thirds) but this watch is extra excellent.
