Birth date (almost) watch

For the past few years I've been interested in getting a birth year watch and was looking around to see what was available. In my search I've found that the seamaster 300 that was released in my birth year went on to become an icon being featured on James bond. I managed to source this 2551.80 from a seller online, eventhough it took awhile, I'm glad it made it to me just fine. Completely coincidental was when I found out that the date written on the original warranty card was a day after my birthdate. This made the watch feel special. It's like we both started off around the same time and went on to see the world with our own journey and now here we are. Feel free to share your birth watch and/or why u think birth watches are so interesting haha.

Nice Seamaster, the Tritium has a great patina to it. I think it's a nice cherry on top to have a birth year watch, but I prioritize condition & price first when I'm looking for my next vintage watch

Born in 1970, birth year watches get a little expensive.  I have managed to get 3 in the last 10 years and here's one of them....a JDM Speedtimer 6139-6031.

Wow that's a beautiful piece, always loved how GMTs from that time period look, the slight yellowing of the indices with poppy red and blue of the insert, and that sleek case :O
