Seiko 5 GMT JDM SBSC009 Dial Details

I've been asked on the gram how the numerals on this watch are done.

Posted photos from my cellphone there and was appalled by the quality (of the photos).

So I doubled down and whipped out my DSLR.

In case you want to know how the dial of this little Seiko 5 Field GMT looks like...

The dial texture is a very subtle grain like the dials on SRPG27, 33, 37, etc. But the indexes seem to be polished metal now? They were brushed on the SRPG's.

Edit also the hands seem to be polished and what's that about the lume plots? Is it only the tiny dots in the squares? Or do the squares light up in their entirety? Then what are those dots for? Hmm, interesting detail.

I can’t wait to see one of these - hopefully a John Lewis in the UK has one - in person. They look really promising

The numerals are so shiny that it can reflect white at certain angle.I bought the same watch loving the white dial and I only learn the gmt function recently to use this watch.Give me the explorer 2 vibe but still a Seiko.Should nickname it Seiko explorer 2.textured dial does make the watch look more expensive but dome hardlex is just unfortunate but if is a Sapphire I doubt I can even buy it on time.Currently the white dial are all sold out or pricing at higher than MSRP.

@Matt_Kane : Lume is the small dots inside the squares.
