My father in law found this old mid century Seiko 5 TV case 6119 laying around in a drawer. It’s automatic and still runs when given a bit of a shake but is not keeping anything like the time. I think I’ll have to have it serviced and get it running well.
I’d definitely be open to that! I was going to take it to my local AD. They have great watch makers on staff. Will definitely cost more than the watch is worth but it’s worth it to keep a family piece running. I don’t have the guts to try a swap on my own tbh. @Thorin

Replace the Seiko 5 movement . And get a good clean . Lovely watch . What a tbing

My neighbor works at my AD as a staff watchmaker I usually get a great deal. But in this case I may shop around.
Definitely worth getting fixed!
