I got mine as a graduation gift in 1999, before entering the work world. It was my one and only watch for about 20 years.
I have the same watch. It was my first “quality” watch as well. Unfortunately the mode button has broken and won’t advance the mode selection dial; and when the watch repair shop changed the battery, the lcd displayed errors and the UTC subdial just kept spinning round and round. They think the movement needs to be replaced ☹️
I’ve competed in local and provincial tournaments but work limits my availability these days. Not sure of the current selection process but I believe it used to be that you had to score above a certain threshold in at least 2 Archery Canada registered tournaments to be noticed by the High Performance Committee.
