Give me strength

I was telling a Seiko dealer that though I may love a watch model, I don't buy a 2nd one if it's only a different color. My method of operation, or at least preference, is that a new piece should not only be a new color for my collection, but that it should be different in some other way that I don't already have, such as case material, "genre", movement, etc. This is kind of my attempt at setting limits on my collecting, while also giving me the opportunity to experience a larger variety of what the watch industry has to offer.

I have the Twelve Ti in blue. When I bought it, I had a difficult time choosing between it and the purple one. I really do love the purple, but I had previously already purchased a purple watch. I have been very happy with my Twelve. The color is a no-brainer for me. I love its size, thinness, and how light it is, even when on the bracelet, which even though it doesn't have on the fly micro-adjust, is unusually comfortable compared to what I've experienced. I love that the date window is a the 6 o'clock position and that it is color matched. The lume is great too, lasting just long enough that even in the very early morning hours, when I've just woken up, my dark adjusted eyes can still read the dial.

Yesterday, I discovered that they just released a green version. Green is my favorite color, and because of this, I have more green watches in my collection than others. Yes, I sometimes break my own collecting rules for this color. I also have a penchant for the vibrant colors these three offer and I can feel my desire building to have all three. If CW ever decides to introduce a red version to this color palette, I will likely break... and I might perish at the hands of my significant other.
