How are watch bracelets assembled?

I’m quite familiar with how the removable links in bracelets work, and it’s pretty evident how the various clasps work on the bracelets I have, but it occurred to me, yesterday, that I don’t know how the non-removable links are attached to each other.

Without visible removable pins or screws, I’m guessing something like spring bars are used, and with such high tolerances, once in place, they cannot be removed.

Does anyone here know enough to tell me if I’m on the right track?

Having done an image search, ultimately, for Rolex folded link, better imagery.

The outer link and the innard of the center link is one piece of formerly flat metal. Presemably there are little cutouts at one end to allow room for that exposed pin at the right. Nope, on second thought, the pin is part on each far end link: it's all one u-shaped stamping. The center link is just a flat rectangle folded into a nearly closed c-shape around the "pin" portion of the side links, which are a separate single piece.

This is different, as the pins are visible at the end.

I assume the outer links are rolled on tight enough to clamp the pin. This looks almost exactly like what a wire crimper does.
