This one kinda came out of nowhere.
I started collecting less than a year ago, and my collection is fairly “safe” at the moment. I’ve therefore been curious about watches with some characteristics I don’t have in the collection yet: 1) an integrated bracelet, 2) a gold or gold-tone watch, and 3) a birth year vintage watch. On Christmas Eve, I stumbled on this beauty that happens to check all three boxes.
This Seiko Quartz 6923-7099 is from the 80’s, measures roughly 34mm in diameter, and comes on a bracelet that might not be “integrated” in the literal sense (there are 18mm width lugs hidden underneath the case) but has a Constellation-esque transition from the case to the bracelet. It also has some major PRX vibes if you ask me… vintage Seiko PRX vibes to be precise :)
The most interesting aspect of the watch may be the prism crystal. It has nine facets and is barely visible at some angles and unmistakeable at others. It’s like having a little slice of a disco ball on the wrist, and when combined with the gold tone, it’s clear that this little watch is ready to party. Just in time for New Year’s!

Thanks! Nothing like a good eBay find :)
The faceted crystal reminds me of the Timex Q reissue of their faceted watch:
These are hard to find in good shape and at a good price. Wear it in good health!
