Watch prices
Hello crunchers.
Was just having a look through Amazon and a few other watch sites in Australia and some of the prices of watch??? Like WTF
I know everything we touch costs more, but a Seiko 5 gmt for over 600 aud. Really???
Even though I'm a g shock fan, I was looking at a mechanical watch down the line. Field watch maybe, but even a Hamilton khaki field is 1000 aud.
Might as well stick to my cheap g shocks 😅.
Anyway just having a whinge.

Plenty of bargains from the Chinese manufacturers. If you like bracelets they're better than Seiko and Hamilton IMO.
I stopped looking at watches on amazon.au. $2000 for a Hamilton Murph, give me a break.
You can pick up some belting auto’s on Aliexpress for a small outlay, but do your research well for the good models there is some dog dirt on there!
As someone who has expressed similar sentiment, I will put this in context and say that an automatic GMT under $1000 used to be basically unheard of, and the Seiko you're referring to is actually a significant price drop due to their recent technological advances.
But, yes, watches are too expensive. I am with you.
