Q: How did you get into watch collecting?
Watches have intrigued me ever since I was a young kid. My dad got an Omega Seamaster in the late 70s and I was instantly smitten.
Q: What was the first watch you ever owned?
Digital Casio watch, which I wish I still had.
Q: Do you have a watch with a particularly interesting story behind it?
Sad story actually - my dad passed away in 2014 and my mum wanted me to have his Omega Seamaster, however, till this day, we still can't find it.
Q: What is one piece of advice you have for someone just getting into watches?
Research watches (including their movement) by reading written reviews/content on particular styles and/or brands that you gravitate to and then ensure you research prices and the retailers selling them - if it is too good to be true, then pass it by!
Q: What brands have been getting your attention lately?
Japanese watches, Seiko and Citizen still get my attention. As for Swiss ones, Oris is currently at the top of the attention list.
Q: What is your grail watch and why?
This changes depending on the day, week, month or year. It would have to be some high-end Omega.
