The best way to settle a lume-war is to set up carefully:
Get a smooth, flat surface. A table leaps to mind.
Spread a sheet or something like a sheet (someone’s favourite skirt?) upon it.
Lume up your watches with a brutal direct sun roast of abuse (sorta for a warm-up. Like boxers warm up before a fight).
Take the watches off any strap or bracelet.
They might be hot from the sun BE CAREFUL.
Be sure the room with your prepared surface of choice is really, really dark.
Rush into the darkened room and ask a friend or family member to shut the door behind you quickly.
When you bump into the table you’re good.
Hold the competing watches in opposing hands, lume FACING YOU.
Check the lume.
Close your eyes and bash the watches together until you just can’t stand it.
Now open your eyes.

The traditional venue is a depressing, clapped-out wooden seaside hotel during the off season. Those old ballrooms work wonders regarding ambiance, believe me.
And, you can “run” several tables at once, in shifts if you have a good turnout! I assume you’re planning a convention?
