A watch tsunami to end 2022!

As we are welcoming 2023 into our lives, I cannot yet fathom everything that happened to me (and to my wife) “horologicaly” speaking towards the end of 2022. 

2 weeks ago, we embarked on our Florida trip with 3 watches in our bags:

  • 2 from my so called ”Miami Collection”: The Seiko 5 GMT in orange (dubbed “Oranje”) and the Mr Jones Watch “A Uselless Afternoon” (dubbed “Miami Baby!”). My wife had with her a Daniel Wellington I gifted to her 5 years ago. Weirdly enough, it did not make his way in the below picture :p

We Have since then added 10 watches to our collection 🙈 Here is a quick overview,:

  • The DBZ x Swatch “Kamesennin” / snagged at the airport as I could not resist this nostalgia appeal. Love it but this quartz movement is noisy as hell. Have to put it oustide of the bedroom if we want to sleep in peace.
  • The Santos Dumont in two-tone Rose Gold/Steel (Small) / A gift to my wife to celebrate the arrival of our little demon. What to say, this watch is a stunner. Looks so much better in person than in the pics. Wiffy is to the moon with it and I even contemplate stealing it from time to time.
  • The Hamilton “Khaki Field” x Hodinkee 
  • The Timex “Q Timex” x Hodinkee
  • The G-Shock “DW5600SMB-4” x Super Mario
  • The Timex “WW75” x Worn & Wound
  • The G-Shock CasioOak “GMAS2100-4A” // Little surprise for the lady, for the days she is bored of the Santos Dumont
  • The Seiko Arnie “SNJ025”
  • The King Samurai Manta Ray “SRPF79”
  • The … well you will have to wait a few days to discover that one but if you have followed my last few posts, you might be able to guess witch one it is. I am still processing it getting it to be frank. More info on that beauty very soon

Now I need to figure out how to pack all these boxes in our luggage 😳

Thank you all for the daily inspiration to indulge sinfully in this wonderful passion. Will showcase more of these watches very soon and will probably to a few reviews as well. Let me know you are interested more about one piece or an other.

If 2023 starts like 2022 ended, we are in for a crazy year les amis :)

Thanks Man! If 2023 is half as good as 2022, I will be happy man. Cannot keep on expending that collection forever anyway :)

In the meantime you might have seen my GS, same as yours ;)
