Link removal seasonal (Speedmaster)

Hi guys.

I have an Omega Speedmaster 2022 with the small link bracelet. In the summer I removed 1 link the bracelet was kinda tight, just tighter than perfection. Now in winter it’s very loose and I was thinking of removing another link. I’m the summer I would probably need to add a link again.

Does anyone actually go through this seasonally. Normally I just wear a Rolex with glidelock or a strap.

Seems like a hassle to me or is this quite normal.

Thanks.

My 5711 gives me the same problem, which is why I stick with my Daytona's easylink.

Ok, flex aside (i dont own any of these watches) yeah I do go through this, whether it's on my GS or Tudors. Im a bracelet guy, that's a commitment I intend to honor year round.

Are there micro adjustments? I use mine on all my bracelets.

That is a hassle! I would slap a strap on it for the summer. Can you replace the bracelet clasps with a better micro adjustment clasps? I guess mine are dialed in for my wrist swelling. I don't have that big of a variable as you do.

Not a cheap solution but Speedmasters recently started shipping with a micro adjustment clasp. This means you can adjust the length by pushing a small button within the clasp. No tools needed. You can order the bracelet as a spare part over the boutiques. I’d get that and all your problems are solved. You can try to sell the old one and make the purchase a bit cheaper that way.

I’m aware of this. I only bought the bracelet a few months ago. I think I’ll just remove the link or use the nylon OEM Omega strap.

I don't have a Speedmaster but I do have a SMP 2254.50 (circa 2003) that came with a speedmaster style bracelet. I had my AD order a half link for me. I too usually have to add it in for the summer and remove it in the winter. I wish it had micro adjustment but it predates that. I usually just resize it myself.

I’ve literally just picked up one of those beauties, only put it on wrist half an hour ago. Amazing watch need to get the bracelet polished

Yep, I’ve just bit the bullet and took the link out

It is a great watch. I was lucky to pick mine up a few years ago before the prices spiked up. It is the pride of my small collection.
