Anyone else excited for Namica watches?

Hey there just wanted to make a very small post to see if anyone else is excited about Namica watches? Unfortunately there still in kickstarter phase but that means bigger discounts? Heres the link for their website https://www.namicawatches.com/shirahama

I'm just generally curious whose thinking of maybe owning or why your not planning on owning one! Please let me know in the comments below! Maybe we can even have a conversation

Decent specs but I'm not a fan of the colorways.

Yep the colors are definitely not everyones cup of tea.

I like the design a lot. I would def go for the white dial/black bezel. The colorways are not to my taste.

I've been following them since inception and definitely looking forward to this release. I think these color schemes are great combinations and just enough to be unique, but still allow some of the familiar design aesthetics to shine through. Collectors complain when a watch is just the same as another, so this is a chance to celebrate the courage Namica has to come out of the gate with a bold piece. More power to them!

I had stumbled upon a review of these on YouTube, and was very intrigued with the Neo Tokyo models.  I'm tempted to order the black DLC Neo Tokyo version - there's something about that purple dial that really appeals to me, especially with the "hollow" index markers. It has a definite "fun" feel to it.

That's very true but now that they are a higher price it's sort a making it harder for me to go with that price premium

The early bird Kickstarter deals are gone, but the regular Kickstarter option for $399 USD is still available. I haven't decided whether or not I want to go for it or not - if the quality and fit & finish is decent, it could still be a reasonable deal at that price.

The main appeal for me is the funky dial, which I just love. I'm concerned that since it isn't exactly a versatile color choice, it probably wouldn't get much wrist time. I had previously purchased a Zelos Horizons GMT simply because I loved the teal dial.  I've only worn that watch a few times since buying it in May 2020, but I still love the dial. I suspect that this one would see the same fate.

I'm also really interested in the new Zelos Spearfish with the burnt orange dial, and am considering it as well. As with all Zelos watches, there is a good chance that the popular dial variants will be snapped up on launch day, which is coming up in about 5 days. At the launch price of $649 USD, it's almost double the price of the Namica.  I'm having a tough time deciding which one I like more, and whether or not I like either of them enough to buy, knowing that they are likely going to spend most of their time in a watch box.

Oh I bet! Online photos and sometimes even videos don't do some watches justice!
