This hobby provides many welcome opportunities to get off the couch and mingle with other enthusiasts in interesting locales. Tonight at the Marconi Auto Museum I got to try on the new and very fun Oris Kermit and participate in a Q&A with the C.E.O of Oris.
My wife is becoming fast friends with Emily of Bob's Watches and they are demonstrating there is plenty of room for women to have fun in this hobby.
I got to catch up with Justin
and who doesn't like free food and whiskey!?
Of course the watches and wheels were stellar.
Tomorrow we fly up for WindUp SF where we hope to meet more Crunchers and perhaps lock down a new watch or two. If you're attending please say hi to the guy wearing the Flattery Camp jacket or Kermit T-Shirt. If you're not attending consider getting off the phone and off the couch for a bit and getting some fresh air. It will do you good.
Still at the beginning of this hobby with sooo much to learn. I prefer in person gatherings over social media dialog and have a soft spot for vintage watches.
What a fun and cool event. Looking forward to meeting you at WindUp, Jack! Travel safe 🤙❤️🤙
