Love at first sight with this piece for me, it's just so cool. I realize it's probably an unfair bias but 3 grand does feel like a lot for a Seiko though

I hear you, but it is how you perceive Seiko rather than the quality inherent. Three grand is where Seiko just starts to get really good. It’s very hard to beat higher end Seiko stuff on the secondary market around and above 3k. SLA043, SBEX009’s, SLA033’s punch way harder than the Swiss around that price point.
