Black Bay Pro on Wolbrook Strap
Being pretty into watch collecting has automatically made me a strap hoarder by default. As a massive fan of Tropic Straps, I have a small but steadily growing range of colours for just about any dial. They range from cheap Ali-X, to Strap Habit, the original Tropic Strap, Joseph Bonnie and Wolbrook “Tropics”.
There are variances in quality among these, 100%.
There’s no better match for the BB Pro than Wolbrook Watches Yellow Tropic Rubber Strap. Quality is as good (maybe better) than the OG Tropic Straps Tropics, a few of us on reddit agree that the detail of the stamping and overall finish is better, especially where the strap cuts off near the dial of the watch. The Wolbrooks are almost completely patterned, whereas the OG Tropics cut straight off.
The subdued mustard tone really suits the GMT hand of the Pro too. Most yellows you’ll find out there are really quite an intense fluro yellow, which doesn’t match the aged look of the watch.
Wolbrook Tropics are in a range of different colours and really nice hues; quite a bit away from the generic Ali-X stuff you’ll see rebadged and sold everywhere.

Seriously great straps, naturally I have no affiliation with them but it is so good to find a manufacturer using their own blanks and colour palette rather than rebranding existing stuff out there.

Yes, I agree. I will most probably get the yellow and the green for starters but the rest of the colors look nice too.

I'm used to see it on dark leather straps or bracelet. This makes it so fresh.

Do you like the Wolbrook strap over the Joseph Bonnie? It looks like the Wolbrook only has the texture halfway around the end, whereas the Joseph Bonnie wraps the texture all the way around?

A Joseph Bonnie would be great if they made the same colour, as you are spot on, the Wolbrook is half textured.
