Strap was chosen specifically to go with this watch - from a studio in Kyoto quite close to wear they make the dial 🙂

It’ll be tough - best bet is at a watch meet up most likely? I always bring mine to watch meet ups.

Other option: the little visiting office Kurono has in Aoyama Tokyo!

yikes- I’ve never heard of fake Kurono, but possible I guess??

I don’t think they couldn’t fake the urushi dial however…

it’s hand polished (well, thumb polished) by an artist for days. The artist must practice the craft for years to perfect, and get the skin tolerance for urushi sap.

it reflects light like no other watch I own, and has a ‘depth’ to the color.

I think no Urushi studios in a Chinese copying factory

I believe EBay warranties against fakes as well. And any seller would have all the extra stuff from Kurono, so that will help prove it (seller should have the extra goodies with the watch!)
