How many of your watches do you wear on a weekly basis?

Hello Crunchers, I recently realized, despite the fact that I own several watches, I still wear one of these three. I don’t know if it’s related to the watches in question, to me, or if it’s something general. Do you also have a few watches between which you usually switch? And if so, how many do you have?

I don't know that I have done 7 watches in a day.

I have 44. I wear about a 3rd of them. I rotate them. The others are once or twice a year.

Enjoy those watches!

Cheers!

Wow, impressive collection! Congrats 👏

One a day. Almost all are g-shock. Sunday is random but mostly likely casio or a quartz watch. Don't have the patience to set mechanical watch time.

As of this post I am wearing pd-1701 power by seiko vk73 quartz. Saturday I wear pd-1701 or Casio MTP-4500

And you won’t with that attitude.

I have 6 watches, and I have another piece on the way. But I only wear a 3. And out if those 3, I really wear one.

One isn't working and unserviceable. It has a lot of sentimental value, since it my first watch I've ever bought myself.

Another one is perfectly fine, but I don't wear it much. It's my first mechanical watch, and I can't sell it. Again, too much sentimental value

And the third one is a MoonSwatch. I don't wear it much, mostly around the house, but I definitely gonna wear it later in the summer

I have 3 more. I have a Seiko Speedtimer and a Venezianico Nereide GMT and a Murph 38. And while I love my speedtimer and my gmt, those watches are way more sporty and modern than a Murph. Murph is MY watch. Everything about this watch is right to me. A bit of vintage touch with a distinct, somewhat art-decoish arabic numerals, beige lume and cathedral hands. Obviously on a leather strap. And aside the looks and feel of it, the cause is right. It's a watch I got for an anniversary of my marriage. If I was forced to chose 1 watch from my collection to be the only one watch, it would be my Murph. But thank god no-one really forces me to do so.

I don't wear a Murph around a house too much. I'm a remote work fashion victim, wearing sweatpants and a hoodie all day long, but when I have a cause to throw some grown-up outfit, even if this cause is a voyage to the nearest supermarket, I gonna make sure I wear MY watch.

And have you ever think about the beauty of a number 3? Holy trinity comes to mind first, but then - take look on a watch rolls. I've seen 4 watch rolls, but you know you gotta buy a 3 watch roll. There's something strangely harmonic about this number. A perfect balance between versatility and a limitation. You can have 1 watch. A submariner. But what about the day you wanna throw some elegance to your outfit? You can have 2 watches - a solid GADA and a perfect dress piece. But what about the day you wanna get your hands dirty? What about that rugged diver you've low-key always wanted? This one watch that makes you feel strong, adventurous, that makes you feel like a handyman. You can't wear it everyday. Of course, you can always get a Tank to pair with your rugged watch, but it takes a certain mindset and a style to pull it off as an everyday watch. So here we are. The magic number.

I can't agree more with you sir!

I bought this watch roll after the watches and when I was choosing the right one I had the choice between this one and a 5-watches one. Went for this one because, the other seems ... Too much. 3 just looked right 👍

It seems that the majority of voters do rotate on 2 to 6 watches a week.

I would love to hear how you all ended up doing so 🙂👍

·

Before my son "stole" my Casioak, it was also 4 watches for me 😁

Out of my six watch collection 2 or 3 get the most wrist time. As my collection grows I find that I definitely prefer some over others. I believe it has a lot to do with me being new to the watch world and I am learning what I like and what I don't.

Even if you've been collecting for several years, preferences can change over time 🙂

With six at my disposal, I only actually wear three. I save my vintage Oris military watch for special occasions because it's so arthritic I fear putting excessive strain on it, plus it's not the most comfortable watch in my collection. My Lucerne is also rarely worn, previously because it's also a bit sensitive and has a very weird look; now, because it needs some oil or a trip to a watchmaker after it started giving me low amplitude. This leaves only my Seiko 5, Casio Edifice chrono and my Camy. These three are my go-tos. Comfortable, reliable, and probably the best looking pieces I own. Another notable mention is that I wear my Casio Outgear Fishing Gear watch almost every day, but only to the gym and hardly anywhere else.
