Anybody remember the other android watch?

I have a couple of these bought a good while ago.

This one is a tank... without doubt the weightiest watch I  own

I know weight means nothing.

It's got a killer dial, hand winding and hacking movement but no idea which one and a display caseback.

Does anybody else own any or know what happened to the company 🤔

Found what happened to them. They've rebranded as "Aragon". Here's a link

Wing Liang who started Android was forced to rebrand as Aragon following the release of Google's smartwatch as part of a settlement when he successfully sued them. He is a friend and i've collected a couple hundred Android/Aragon over the years. I adore his designs, but since i've shifted taste to smaller sizes I can't comfortably wear them anymore. I've been begging him to do just one or two releases in 40 or below. He is one of the nicest people you'll ever meet.  I visited his office with my best friend and sat in his conference room for a few hours while he showed us new models and prototypes and after plying me with a few beers, ended up selling me 000/150 of a run yet to be released. 000 was supposed to be in house, but he offered before looking at the serial number and honored the offer.

Absolutely one of my favorite people!

Great information

You have a fine collection.

I have one other auto... a skeleton from the same time as my pictured maxjet and also a quartz one with leather strap

Having to rebrand is a serious bummer, but how many other people can say they successfully sued Google for copyright infringement? I hope that at least took away some of the sting.

One of the biggest mistakes I've made was picking up a 50mm Android just because it had a 9015 inside, which I was interested in at the time. I could never pull it off. Too heavy, too uncomfortable. I have nothing against Liang (though he'll never live down that long home shopping network stint), but I find too many of his pieces to be ginourmous.

Used to have an 8.5” wrist when I was heavier and I even rocked a stupid invicta 65mm sea hunter….oh the stupidity of youth

We all have our moments. Hey - it's all part of the hobby. Eventually, wisdom joins the watches, and we are happy with what we've been lucky enough to wear. 👍
