Casio case matte finish mod ideas?

Hey everyone! This is my beloved Casio MTP. I am currently using it as a field watch. I like everything about it as a field watch, except poor water resistance and cheap-looking shiny finish.

And if the WR level is barely changeable, I think the finish could be changed to a nicer matte finish. Any thoughts on that modification? How could I do It, or I shouldn't try? Thank you for your answers.

Ok, so it has Hours, Minutes, Seconds, and a date complication. And it has poor WR. The solution is simple. Get a Casio Duro, and swap out the silicone strap for the leather strap of this watch. The Duro has all the functions that this watch has, plus it has more-than-decent WR (200m.) You can't go wrong with the Duro.

Add a grain with a scotch-brite pad, aka the scrubber side of a kitchen sponge. Or very fine sandpaper.

Measure the dial, get new case from AliExpress if there is one for that dial size and work some magic to make it all fit inside? 🤔

Well, I really want to get one, but in my country they retail for 77500 ₸ (173.36 US Dollars.) I think this price is quite unfair for this watch. Shipping from the US or UK will also be very expensive.

Thanks for the advise! I think there are no custom cases for this model, but maybe I'll be lucky enough to find a one of same size.

In the U.S., the Duro retails for $54.00 USD. I can't believe how much they're charging!! 😮😮 Unfair doesn't begin to describe it! 😕

You're right! And the Mdv-107 (the new version without Marlin) retails for 123 Dollars which is also ridiculous.
