Hi All, I am new to this site,so sorry for this question, but taking Nodus as an example of a company using a third party movement but regulating it themselves. They will then have local people who can become watch makers/repairers and can then make their own movements down the line.
My question to you is, is there a company like that in UK or are they all just designers using Switzerland,Japan and China? Thank you for any input.😁

With the small margins and competition it's easier to get off the shelf movements. R and D would kill you and take years to develop.
Christopher Ward have even started manufacturing their movements in house. I believe Clemence Watches do that, I know the watch is built in the UK and they install a Miyota.
Sure there are others but that’s all I’ve got just now.
Fears, Farer, AnOrdain, Studio Underd0g, are some favorites in these parts. Here is a list, most of whom use third party movements.

I am a member of the British Watch Makers Alliance which is one of the reasons that I put forward the question. A lot of companies have the watches made in Switzerland - even Christopher Ward and Farer do . Clemence looks interesting though 😀👍
