New Watch, or (second hand) retail therapy

December has been, and will be a real pain in my ass of a month it seems. It’s the busiest time of the year for my job, I’ve had some nagging health issues, lost a grandmother, had a relatively pricey thing stolen, bought a car and then sent it back because it was trash, and in about ten minutes have to leave for jury duty.

A couple weeks back I figured I’d get an affordable watch as a bit of a Christmas gift to myself. This wasn’t the plan as I’d bought a car, but the cars failure and return of those funds had me think I could buy a cheap-ish watch.

I found a quartz PRX on eBay in 35mm amd it was a simple buy-now at a good price. It took a bit longer to ship but showed up last night.

It’s 40mm not 35mm amd I’m not even mad. I have fairly big wrists and this looks just fine. It’s not a watch I’ll wear daily but it’ll get its time and I’ll get the money worth out of it. It’s rather nice. I mentioned to a co-worker who also has a quartz PRX that I wanted to get the case back engraved to mark such a lame and exhausting month. I’ve considered simply ‘December sucked’ or something along those lines.

Any short engravings to celebrate the end of a very rough and crappy month??

You're idea sounds the best, maybe just add the year in case hopefully you have a better December next year. Congrats on that beautiful watch and awesome you didn't let the size bother you! The doggy looks jealous :)

Should you want to sell the watch down the line you’ll probably regret getting it engraved. If I were you I’d wait a month or so to make sure that you still feel the same about the engraving.
