I'm of course biased, but if you consider a quartz to be more user friendly everyday, then something like my 36mm Eterna Kontiki with 200M, screw-in crown and good lume might suit...
Wenger Swiss Military has you covered for a lot less.
Spot on 38mm, 200m water resistance, Swiss movement (quartz), and all stainless steel with a superb bezel action and lume. Different yet similar models are available with a sliding scale of prices depending on what else you want.
The pic is of an Explorer, a field watch, which typically have 50-100m WR. The Explorer itself is only 100m WR rated.
Are you looking for a field watch or are the specs of 200m WR most important? If the latter, then you're generally going to be seeing dive watches recommended.

What syle of watch: sport, chrono, diver, field/pilot?
I wholeheartedly recommend two:
If you want a 3 hander - Seiko SME585
But, my first choice would have been the GShock GWN5610U. Don't let the on-paper dimensions fool you, it wears more like a 39/40.
This would be a great choice and just one €1000
Its gotta be the sinn 556i!
200m
38.5mm
Swiss movement
Made in germany
Perfect toolwatch for the outdoors(no polished surfaces)
Still sophisticated enought for the office
1325€

Super-Squale Sunray, caramel orbgray, on a beeds of rice bracelet
Seiko Baby Alpinist? Great lume, 38mm, 200mm water resistance, different and interesting dials.
