Hi everyone,
I'm glad I ran across this group today ... I've been a watch fanatic since I was a kid growing up in the 70s & 80s. My dad worked for a few watch companies including Gruen. He gave me these two watches probably around 1990 ... I grew up wearing multiple Swatches and anything unusual. Looking forward to seeing what everyone is wearing!

Hi Arne, welcome to Watchcrunch buddy. 👍
Welcome!
I thought I'd read somewhere that these watches were marketing only and not really Soviet or at least not military. I definitely remember them.
More importantly, who made those bands?

Yeah, they aren't real Soviet watches, so I wouldn't include them in any Russian watch groups. The bands only say "Made in Italy" on them ... I hadn't really looked at them in a long time, but they are kind of cool.
I added a couple of photos to the post, including one of the back of the band. Another interesting thing is that the watch strap gets inserted into the side with the buckle.
Hello and welcome 👍
