Alba Watches, why so obscure?

Image

I recently discovered a Seiko subsidiary brand called Alba Watches. Apparently they've been making watches for quite long.

I searched for them on the internet and reached their web page. The problem is that you can't buy new ones anywhere. What's the point? Where can I find them?

It seems that it's a good manufacturer but, why can't you find them on sale?

I think it is up to country, like here, it is selling everywhere in Thailand - both offline and online.

Where can you get them online? I'm form Europe and here seems impossible.

It is listed in local online platform like lazada (owned by ali group), shopee, or even department store websites such as central, or kingpower.

However, these will only provide domestic delivery so I think they just market on some of countries that fit with their affordable pricing approach. (They basically Seiko design with 40-50% discount)

Sorry that I could not find an international online shop for you. I hope others can offer you one

Seiko has other brands (such as Lorus) that sells at a lower price point and I believe that it's depending on which countries Seiko wants to have a presence and what kind of presence it wants that decides which affordable brand will represent Seiko's low end.

·

Alba is Seiko's Asian budget brand, very similar output to Lorus, but not the same. In Europe, you can get some of their watches on ebay, e.g. there is a nice solar one. The one to look out for is the lumibrite titanium fieldwatch. With Lorus, you get either lumibrite or titanium, but not both.

Amazon has Lorus and Alba available👌

I’m pretty sure Sakura.com ships world-wide.  They’re an official dealer for most of the Japanese brands and carry lots of awesome stuff, even offering JDM editions we just don’t get outside Japan

I think it's mostly because she put her acting career on hold, to focus on entrepreneurship, yeah?
