i must admit, i hadn't really expected to discover my mortal enemy on watchcrunch today, so i don't have any cunning schemes prepared right this very moment...

I do have a question actually!

As I've been endlessly scrolling through pictures, I have wondered if the indices on the colourways differ??

On the black and ridgeline the edges of the indices appear more reflective....

And on the other models more mat...

Is this just lighting? Are they all the same?

Sadly, I've talked myself out of buying one even though I was initially all for the Ridgeline (which I kept calling Ridgeway in my head). The main reason is the wait because I've never paid for something and had to wait 6 months for it before, and it's not something that I want to get involved with. I'm sure everyone will get their watches, but I'm an impulse buyer not a waiter.

The second reason is the angles on the Ridgeline. I thought there were three distinct zones to the dial, with the black being 10 to 2, the teal being 2 to 8, and the orange being 8 to 10 which would have matched up to certain things I do during the day. But because of the angle representing mountains and avalanches, the "zones" are 1.5 minutes/seconds out from being on the markers, and that would bother me over time. I understand why the angles are as they are, but it doesn't make them any less unseeable now that I've seen them.

My third reason is the size. Yes, it will fit, and fit anyone really, but it might be a little bit small feeling for me. I have no idea since I've never tried one on.

A minor niggle is the crosshair which I don't see the point of and becomes far too glaring on the Spindrift, which was my second choice. The Amber one would be my third choice, but it's a bit plain compared to the others, and I have too many black dials already to then consider the Pitch Black.

I saw some YouTube reviewers who mentioned the noise of the movement. I don't actually care about that one way or another, and I don't care what YouTube reviewers say anyway. I saw this watch because @DeeperBlue posted pics trying it on, and if anyone deserves a free watch for promotion, it should be her not anyone on YouTube. Most of us on this forum would never have seen it if Kaysia hadn't quickly modelled it. Just my two cents on that. Now that the YouTubers all got their freebies, it makes me even less likely to want one because it's not such a lovely little secret anymore.

So, to cut a long story short, I'm bailing on this one. I hope it sells well, but I don't think it's a watch for me this time around.
