Fantastic article from Wei Koh on the Lemania calibre 2310

So...I have just been geeking out reading this fantastic article by Wei Koh of Revolution Watch titled The Complete History of the Amazing Lemania Chronograph Calibre 2310.

Being ChronoGuy that is probably not surprising.

However, I really think it's worth your time to take the 15-20 minutes it involves reading the full article.

Wei's knowledge and passion for the history of horology, specifcally that of the chronograph, is on full display here.

This is truly an article to have in your permanent archives to periodically reference. It is essential for all chronograph collectors.

Here is the link...Enjoy!

I first discovered Wei Koh and Revolution during the time I was rehabbing a freak broken left ankle was super impressed with his knowledge of horology which I imagined had to be studied, acquired over time but his passion seemed to be genuine, not artificial.

I eventually decided on the VC, but not as my immediate next purchase. I have my heart set on something else..

Keep sharing great long reads!

Both of those are amazing watches! I love VC. That looks like a vintage reference.

I have a CDV of a more recent vintage...

Glad you enjoyed the article.

That VC is the predecessor to your CdV, the historiques chronograph. Tear drop fancy lugs, although I prefer the cow horns, which are exquisite and beautiful. Much smaller at 36mm and very vintage in it's look although it's from early 2000s. Is tag vintage? Neo vintage? Regardless, it has character and it really grew on me.

I love the CdV and was offered the steel and rg one, but passed because of the MASSIVE price difference between boutique and grey. Like 23k USD difference for a bnib! That's way too much to swallow.

Also saw the platinum CdV for like 65k.. was tempted....

Great read, Lemania is probably the most underrated in terms of movement maker history
