📸 A Day of Watches, Beers, and DIY Repairs! 🛠️⌚️
📸 Recently, my friend @twohandswatch asked me to change the battery in one of his watches. Seizing the opportunity, I suggested he bring all his watches over for an afternoon of swapping, beers 🍻, and, of course, repairs 🔧.
I take pride in sharing my passion for fixing and caring for artifacts with him. To me, true ownership comes when you can repair something with your own hands 🦾. This philosophy, perhaps rooted in Cuban culture 🇨🇺, has been my guiding principle.
Over time, I’ve fixed his phone 📱, his bike 🚲, and various other things, and I’ve noticed how he’s gradually lost the fear of doing it himself. It was rewarding to see how, in the end, he managed to fix his own watch ⌚. It’s a testament to the power of hands on learning and practice 🙌🏾 🎓.
