A cure for blurry vision

The morning started as usual with SmallCat™ jumping all over me like a human trampoline until I gave up and went to feed him, which didn't stop him from complaining that I'm ruining his life while I defended myself by proving that I'm a great provider of tuna.

Except that my vision was still blurred from sleep and I ended up opening a can of salmon, which isn't the same thing at all according to the many legged small furry thing.

That made the decision of which watch to wear today a bit easier. 369 dials have great legibility and Explorer styled watches don't have a date complication that I'm unable to read through half clogged eyes. My intention was to get the Mathey-Tissot MT369, but I somehow ended with the 37mm San Martin SN021-G and a much needed coffee instead.

To be fair there is nothing wrong with the San Martin. It's far from being extraordinary but the PT5000 movement inside is remarkably accurate, more so than some SW200 based watches that I own, the fit and finish of the San Martin is more than acceptable, and it does offer a great legibility. It even looks like an Explorer, if we extend the definition to a watch that looks like it was designed by someone who never saw one and had to work from second hand information.

But at least I can see that I was just right on time for my morning coffee and I can't complain about the way that the SN021-G wears on my wrist. Maybe this morning isn't a complete loss after all.

Another day, another watch.

The main issue with the cat is the lack of DST setting or basic understanding of weekends. He wakes me every day at the crack of dawn and then goes on to do "cat's things" until its time to be fed again.

I have a different view on cats ,so are cat is always put out at night just like on the Flintstones,we have fields around us so we are often greeted with body parts from various small animals on the door step . totally agree on 369 watches great legibility

'Designed by someone who...had to work from second hand information.' What a great line and does capture the look perfectly 👍

Please...He just discovered that if he hides in a corner and jump high enough he can snatch a pigeon in mid flight. I had to rescue the stupid flying rat and explain to SmallCat™ that they are not tasty, which of course he refuse to believe. I prefer waking every day at dawn rather than clean a pile of feather again or deal with the hysterics of the GF.
