Jay and Kays adapters

Got a couple of pairs of strap adapters from Jay's and Kay's a few weeks ago and finally settled on putting them on my 6900. I tried them on a few g shocks, but I wasn't digging the looks on them. Part of it was that I should've got an 24 mm adapter for my bigger g shock. The 22mm is a really made the watch "lollipop," as the kids say. The adapters add extra length to the already weird/big lug to lug of a g shock. And there's a bit of a gap, although I've seen various sources say using the original pins will make it better. Seeing as how another g shock I have has a gap directly from casio this doesn't bother me too much on the 6900, but I noticed it more on my GAS-100. I know this is a g shock but part of me always will think, "keep the orignal" and luckily watch parts are small.

The parts themselves are of amazing quality. Really fast shipping. The ebay listing has everything you need to know if you're the kind of person who is way more into g shocks or watches than most. They really hooked it up with a couple of spring bar tools and spring bars. I got a couple of straps, but the one pictured is the single pass heavy duty divers strap, which is super nice for a strap of this kind. I got a two piece strap, which is pretty good, but I haven't found which watch I want it on yet. I've been putting this strap on my Invicta Pro Diver, but I was wearing something else orange yesterday and threw the strap on to the 6900.

i wear this watch to work, but having a fabric strap when I'm snaking out a drain or something is not ideal. And at some point this thing is defiantly going taste various sauces, salsas, chutneys, and probably lake Michigan for fun. I know I can throw them in the laundry, but I do enough laundry thank you very much. This watch is crying out for a rubber or similar strap.

I also got a set of bull bars from Jay's and Case. In retrospect I should've gone with black or silver, for matchyness. The gold ones I got are pretty cool though. Once again super high quality. I was going to put them on my fancy square but it looked too busy and I think it would cover up too much of the solar panels. I put it on one of my less fancy squares, one with less writing on the face. If I get a square that matches the bull bars and get a couple of different color bullbars we're all set. They do mark your bezel, but fashion hurts. Maybe get a set for my beloved 6900.

Putting the adapters on wasnt too bad. And if theres drilled lug holes to make it easier to switch 2 piece straps. I didn't take pics of the GAS-100 with adapters/straps because I just got it back on it's orignal strap, which was a real pain to do. Surprised how finicky the g shocks are to mess around with. Possible, but you really gotta be patient. I kinda prefer to keep the "lines" of the g shock as mighty casio intended. But this experiment also taught me that a lot of g shock parts are interchangeable, hmmm...hmm.... I'm still considering getting some crazy metal case for one of my 5600s, but after trying on the real deals I'm sure the feeling won't come close.

I switched my G 5600 back to the original strap after clipping off all the bumpy things and sanding it smooth. It was great on leather but I need it to work on cars and be easily cleaned. I hated the tiny square marks on my wrist.
