Cartoon watches

It's 6:27 am on my day off. I'm watching cartoons and think, you know what I want? A cartoon watch. So I've been casually looking around, but haven't found one that has charmed me enough to buy. A few weeks ago I saw a looney tunes watch box in a thrift store, but it was empty. Plus even picking the cartoon character featured is IMPOSSIBLE. I'm not wearing Fog Horn Leghorn as my primary timekeeper. How come I haven't seen the old school WB Dodo on a watch? That's such a good cartoon character! The woody woodpecker watch featured would be seemingly okay quality wise, a fossil watch.

What I like about it is a doubled edge sword, it's demented. It's the kind of watch I'd wear when I want to tell people time isn't real and then show it to them. How could something like time be real when this is absurd machine is showing it? In my mind this is the kind of joke I find amusing. Of course time is real, other wise I wouldn't have beeps going off on the hour from four different casinos. Those ha-s seem Jokeresque. There's a slight menacing vibe from it. Specially with that stain on that one, ketchup or blood? (Neither! I'm doing this on a phone and the preview pic isn't great, lol)

Just now I saw a w.w. (imagine if it was Woodrow wilson) cartoon and Woody shows of his watch and this pops up.

That's hilarious! I'd wear something like that. Crown over to 3 o clock (coffee break? Tea time?) And make the lug length a bit wider. I'd had some marks to indicate 5 min increments at least. I'd keep the old fashioned food pics, you don't see that style of food nowadays. Or give it a Panerai style crown guard to keep it reminiscent of the alarm. Whatever! So I'm thinking maybe instead of a watch with a cartoon character on it, I get a cartoony style watch. I already have an invicta. I did have that one inexpensive timex I found somewhere, but there's a reason I gave it away. Ah well the hunt goes on.

You got any favorite cartoon watches? Or is time something to be taken seriously?

I know it's a cliché, but I like it.

I am trying to find another one of those! That is one of the few nice cheap and cheerful Mickey Mouse watches! I had one and I wore it till it died.

Closest I have to a Mickey Mouse watch right now. I had a chance to get a shareholder and I blew it and I’ll probably never get a cheap one again.

I actually have the original Woody, Woodpecker song, sung by Mel Blanc as my ringtone on my phone .

Mine is a Lorus. Yes, it is only cheap. There should be loads of them about in various places.

It’s that specific model it’s large, it has pie eyed, Mickey, and his arms move properly like a Mickey Mouse watch should . It’s several years old, and it’s not as common as you might think.

Not that I could afford it but I wish Rolex or some other swell brand would produce a platinum bracelet watch with Alfred E Newman on the dial. Mickey is classic but overdone.
