Inspired by @brianmp21 post about redundancy.
Like many of you, I have quite a few watches. Many of them are g shocks. Somehow I have 3 squares.
From left to right:
The fancy square. A gw-m5610 I got when the new U module was being mistakenly sent out to people from a giant retailer for 70 bucks. That's a great roll of the dice, but I ended up with the older module. Nonetheless, it's one my favorite watches ive ever had. Theoretically the only watch I need.
The blue camo 5600 is the most recent acquisition. Could be the only watch I need. 50 bucks or so at Ross. I know I said no more negative display casios, but this one was too cool to pass up. It looks grayer in real life.
The regular 5600. I got this one at walmart along with the DW-9052 when they were on sale for 40 bucks. I was only going to get the 9052 but the square looked so sad there on the clearance shelf, all alone alongside a bunch of brand x watches, and a couple of really low budget Armitron watches. I had to get them both. I was thinking of modding this one with a steel band and bezel, but after seeing a few steel squares from casio in person I'd rather get one of those. This would be a good choice to be my one watch. I really think if I had bought this one first I wouldn't have so many watches.
If I put the money I spent together on these my first choice to get would be a nice colorful gw-m5610u, maybe that orange nasa one. Now that's a great candidate to be my only square g shock.

Holy crow, thank you for tagging me and I'm glad my post inspired you to make this post 😁
See it's weird because with G-Shocks. I don't think the "rule" of redundancy counts. Because it's meant to be the kind of watch where there's a whole palette of colors to choose from - a slew of patterns to wear. They're also cheap AF too lmao.
Love a Casio, and you were right about not leaving 5600 all alone like that. I am the same when I pass a cake shop.
