Final thoughts before purchase

I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on my next piece. It will the the blue purple Nomos club. Got to ask from owners what they think and any feedback they have.

Have you tried on a club before?

They just have a unique wear to them. They’re very slim, long lugs and have a large dial to case proportion. The good thing is they’re awesome about returns if you order direct. I wanted to like the pink dial club but it just wasn’t for me.

Thank you so much! I have a Hamilton khaki mechanical that has long lugs and is thin as well. Would that be close?

NOMOS does indeed wear larger than the size suggests, but they are such charming watches. I really liked my Orion.

Have you tried on before ? I wanted one of these so badly but when I tried on I was a little disappointed. The space between the lugs and the case was a little too big for my liking . I tried to shake it but couldn’t . Horses for courses but this was my take . Stunning piece though ! Good luck

i agree with other commenters that you’ve really got to try it on to know whether you’ll like it. Nomos has a very unique wearing experience because of its case and lug design. their lugs are long. i kept reading this too as i was exploring the watch, and i had always written it off. “pfffft! it says 37mm for the Club Sport. i’m sure it’ll be fine!” but when i finally tried it on in a store, i was shocked at how i felt about it.

the long lugs combined with its very thin and flat case shape made it feel very squat on my wrist. and the bracelet hung oddly on my 6.5” wrist. i instantly fell out of love with it. i was just like you…about to pull the trigger. but happened to stumble on a store that carried Nomos and tried it on.

Thank you for this I am going to see if I can find a store before purchasing.

Echoing others here . . . Love the versatility and fun of the Club but was led to the Minimatik and the Metro after trying on. Of course those watches have somewhat less versatility . . . but I honestly think most watch collectors are kind of full of shit when they talk about "needing" all of their watches to be Navy Seal ready. Day to day? A lot of us are going to work and coming back home, running errands.

Literally just considering this piece too! But in the white dial. I'm also a bit worried about the long lugs. What size is your wrist? I also have a Hamilton khakik mechanical and that fits well on me but the lugs are bit longer on the nomos I believe.

I have about a 7” wrist but also some times struggle with my wrist bone when it comes to placement. My Hami is one of my favorites but I did put it on a Fluco leather strap that is just perfect in that it is so suple.

Need to be aware of the lug length!!! Also the gap between the strap and the case is massively noticeable. Look at the picture you’ve posted . Imagine that gap has your wrist colour come through. If you are ok with that, it’s a great watch

Thank you so much MWC! I didn’t even think about the gap!! I will make plans to go and view a piece in person before deciding for sure.

By the way love your videos!

I'd need a reason for the use of both Arabic AND roman numerals. Is there one?
