NEWS! KING SEIKO RETURNS

Via @Seikowatchofficial on Instagram

The 1960's was a decade of unprecedented
advances for Seiko, both in terms of technical
development and design creativity. Alongside
Grand Seiko, one other series demonstrated the company's ability to create beautifully designed and finished mechanical watches with high accuracy. It was called King Seiko. In addition to its precision, it offered a powerful yet graceful design that symbolized the high quality of its construction. Today, after more than half a century, the King Seiko collection is back with timepieces that showcase the lasting quality of Seiko's mechanical watchmaking. The first collection comprises five new timepieces, all of which will be available from February 2022 at the Seiko Boutiques and selected retailers worldwide.

This is exciting news for vintage Seiko lovers! I feel like 37mm fits nicely with how trends are going. What are your thoughts Watchcrunch fam?!

For anyone who's already a bit confused by all the various Seiko & Grand Seiko model lines, this should certainly add to the confusion.

I reckon I did well to buy my 1970s King Seiko when I did 🤣

Those 70’s models are about to go up! 📈

Nice, but too small at 37 mm.  40 mm would have been perfect - it's quite a thick watch.

40mm seems like the modern sweet spot

Yeah.  A lot of us over-indulge in life's pleasures.  Anything under 38mm looks tiny IMO.
