New love with Snoopy 50th !!!

Hi Everyone,

Some of you will hate me... but let's say I am writing this post to give some hope and show that we can be lucky !

I have a friend of mine that was in my place 2 weeks ago...he saw my Submariner "Starbucks" and we started the discussion about watches, I showed him my collection and then he told me that he is looking since 2 years for the Snoopy (honestly, I discovered this amazing watch that day). The day after I sent a whatsapp message to the sales guy where I bought many watches in less than 3 months (2 Jaeger, 2 cartier and 1 Omega James bond) for around 80k eur (not all for me). He direclty answered me "Hello M. ...., this is a very rare watch, I have only one available reserved for a VIP client that was waiting 1 year for it, however, as you bought many watches in less than 3 months, I will let it for you ! Are you interested?". I can tell you my friend wanted to kill me when I showed him that I got the Snoopy in 24h.

I even tried to ask him a second Snoopy for my friend, but he told me "to get one as quick as you got yours, usually this never happen... so to get a second one, maybe next year".

I have almost same stories for a Daytona pink gold and the Royal Oak offshore.

Snoopy is now my favorite watch !!!

Good luck to everyone !!!

Congratulations! I imagine this is what your friend is thinking, though ... 🤣

If you are ready good friends, you could share the watch. Keeping it one year or a month each and alternate 😅 Like a child…

·

I just see the box. Can we see the new watch? Congratulations!!!

·

Wow congratulations!!! That’s a dream watch for me as well! 😭 kind of sucks for their VIP since he can’t get it now LOL but it is what it is. Congrats and wear in good health!

Hi,

Sure, this is what I have now on my phone. If you want to see more details, I can take better pictures as soon I am back home.

Been trying to get one for ages! Still on a waiting list! Which is something I don’t do.

Congrats! I too am on the 2+ year wait! If you can get a third or fourth, let me know! 😉

No offense to the poster (good on you for getting the watches you want), but this behavior by the AD is literally what’s wrong with the watch business. They have a customer who waited a year for the Silver Snoopy and you come by and swoop in simply because your spend history is higher (at the moment). You have a friend who can’t get his grail watch because he has no spend history, but you got your new watch of the moment within 24 hours (it’s not your grail watch, and it is a temporary fav…not when you have a ROO and Daytona in your collection)

·

Nice, congrats! I was lucky to have a snoopy recently too, can understand how you feel. It is definitely an interesting watch for sure.

Congrats for the watch,

It’s an amazing watch.

But out of curiosity, what do hope and luck have anything to do with it? You spent a lot of money at this AD and became their VIPs.

You’re more likely taking away their hope on the wishlist by giving them the hard reality that rare watches are only for VIPs. 😅😅😅

(This is not your fault, it’s the ADs)

·

Congrats but wow, that really highlights the stupidity of the AD shenanigans these days.

Be on the list for a year and qualify as a “VIP” client and you get the rug pulled out from under you for a “new and shiny” client. That’s BS.

Nothing against you, OP. But man, that’s a rotten deal for the other guy.

You’re right, now I know that I will never get my dream watch because I can’t afford to spend more.

Sad truth indeed

·

Then let me be a little bit more honest... I did offer him to take it but he told me he found a good deal to buy the previous snoopy (the limited edition) and he cannot offer o buy both of them.

Also for my "defense" I never asked to screw the other guys in the list... imagine if you were in my shoes, what will you do ?

I fully understand and agree with you.

However, my friend and I leave in different regions, I didn't even compete with him (my AD store is very far from his region).

I do know that I am very blessed to find and able to buy a Daytona (btw it was without any purchase historic that one, just spent 5h in a store during a trip, talking with the guy, he went from impossible to get to hmmmm I have one Rose gold if you are interested right now) and almost same story last week with the ROO (I got same day than the Snoopy).

While the ROO is much more expensive than the Snoopy, believe me with all the FOMO around the Snoopy, but not only, it's the most beautiful watch that I have !

Guys don't hate me, I am a nice guy 😅🤗

Thank you !

Hope : because I found it directly that's mean some ADs have this watch in stock. You will get it not only because you have a purchase historic but also because you have a good relationship with the sales pers.

Lucky : Because 24h before getting this fabulous watch, I didn't even heard about it.

Can’t blame you for taking the watch when offered. Wear it in good health. Glad it didn’t go to a flipper anyway.

From AD point of view it’s maximising current and future sales. It’s sad, but that’s the way the world works. It seems it’s not that hard to get a Snoopy once you can get to an Omega Boutique and are prepared to buy a few other Omegas. This guys video says the same: https://youtu.be/XkZofbZQ6ks?si=NvR6AFowzULdwvTu

I hold out a small hope that karma will eventually catch up with the ADs if a time comes again when they actually have to chase sales. I do think that they have alienated a lot of customers.

·

when this watch first came out ADs we’re taking £500 deposits in UK from customers who had spend history’s way higher than the one you mention… and most of those deposits were refunded and the customers didn’t get one. But now things are very different. The gold Daytona you mention is now available with a very short wait and people are passing on them when offered. Flippers won’t touch them thank god. And if snoopys are now available in one day then perhaps we are getting back to the old days. I hope so.

Agree, a lot of flippers are quitting and trying to re sell fast their stock.

The market is in correction phase right now.

But I am not sure about the "easy availability of any gold Daytona".

If you know where to find a yellow gold one from an AD, I am still very interested.

Thank you !

Yes “easy”is probably to strong a word. I mean they are gettable now. I was offered a white gold one by an ad and I wasn’t down on the list. But I had bought a lot from them previously. The gold Daytona is now £33,500 and I suspect it won’t be long before you can buy them on the secondary market for that price.
