yeah, I totally agree, but my understanding is that it only have a 40h power reserve? does the power reserve bother you in any way or you just keep it on a winder.
Very interesting question. I think your definition of half a month of salary being affordable does make sense. However, I feel that affordable tends to get equated to cheap. Say a random Joe earns 100k a year, his half month salary after tax would be give or take 3000. If he chip in a bid more, he can buy a Tudor BB 58 which I don't think will be considered as an affordable watch even by his standards.
I would totally sell the Rolex and get the GS SLGH009. Looking down at a GS always stirs up emotions for me while looking at a Rolex just makes me think "I should sell it and make some $$$"😂
Ah, I guess I wasn’t super clear. I didn’t mean the spring drive ticking. I meant I am just interested in a pure mechanical watch since I already own a spring drive and am not interested in quartz due to the way the seconds hand tick.
I actually was able to try the Black Bay Pro in person. The Tudor boutique in Westfield century city carried a showing piece. When I tried it, the thickness definitely bothered me, but I’ve not tried the Black Bay GMT yet. Maybe with the bigger case, the proportions are better?
