Citizen Eco

My wife bought me a nice gold bracelet Citizen as a dress watch. I happened to look at the seconds hand and saw that it doesn't do "one-second" at a time. It does 2-second jumps. It takes exactly 30 clicks to get back at top-dead-center on the 12. Is this normal for the Citizen Eco movement ?

Probably an EOL (End Of Life) indicator for the battery.

·

Maybe it needs some sun to charge the battery?

I think this is a signal of low battery charge and should clear up soon with a little exposure to light.

Leave the watch in the window for a day. It will start ticking normally. I have the same Corso from citizens. Do you have any extra links from the bracelet?? I have grown a bit and can not for the life of me locate the extras. I need 2 if you have them. DM me if you are interested in selling some to me. I'll cover the shipping.

Yup, what everyone said. It's an EOL indicator. Let it into the sun and it should start to tick normal again

Old photo but as you can see, samey sames.

It's how Citizen watches tell you that it's low on battery

Try put it under the sunlight

I put the watch under my LED reading light for literally one minute and it started one-second ticks. This is what I love about forums ! I had no idea. I will need to put my other solar charged batteries out in the sun for the day .
