"A Man and His Watch" book.

My wife noticed my new found interest in watches and found this book on Amazon.  It's a quick read with one/two page stories about people and their watches.  Very high quality book that comes in a heavy duty sleeve.  I bought the companion book..."A Man and His Car".  On Amazon, the hardcover is $5 cheaper than the Kindle e-book !?

There’s a few of these around in the background of wrist shots etc. My wife got me a copy for my birthday not long ago (I have a strong feeling this will be a recurring theme too) and it’s not bad. Some of the anecdotes are interesting (Bill Murray) some not so much. Would have liked to see a wider spread of watches and brands too. It’s a cool coffee table book, with not enough SeaMasters or man-on-the-street watches. XD

I wanted to see a wider spread of watches as well . . . and certainly a wider spread of people. Sure, the watch world is heavily male dominated, but the author couldn't find a couple of women? Honestly I would love a book like this that just contained personal watch stories from everyday people.

That sounds like a cool idea, especially with not only more usual watches, but also more candid photography alongside the glossy stuff. I think the perfect time for starting a project like that would have been the millenium, unfortunately. Now it may resemble an Apple catalogue.
