About a year ago, I came across this in a thrift store. I purchased it because my grandfather used to wear one all the time and it brought back memories of him. When I purchased it, it didn’t work. This I believe is a ladies watch from the 80’s. But it wears quite nice on my wrist. It had been gunked up from years of lotion and it had stopped working. So with a good clean and a fresh battery. It was back running again. This is probably one of my favorite watches. Just because when I wear it reminds me of my grandfather. Happy hunting and have a blessed day.

There was a moment in the 60's and 70's when "gold nugget" was the style for men and women. I have always associated it with the rise of Las Vegas as a cultural destination and the incredible wealth being generated in places like Dallas and Houston.
I too remember those days fondly through the sepia lens of memory. Wear it in good health.
Certainly an interesting piece, but definately not from the 50's given that the first quartz watches came out in 1969.
