Hello World!

A long time viewer of Watch Crunch videos on YouTube. Finally decided to start up an account here. Hello Watch Crunch world!

I just picked up this no date sub this week from an AD in New York City. ◡̈

Finally a no date sub I love these. I'm glad you got it at retail with the warranty.

I’ve always thought a date complication to be essential. Until I started growing my collection and realized how much of a pain it was to set the watch with a date. Now I love no date watches. Plus, the clean symmetry of a no date sub is just perfection!

Welcome to WC. I prefer the clean look of the no date Sub as well, and have the 114060 myself.

agree! I don’t think I’d be able to spot the difference between the 114060 and the 124060 in the wild. Only when they’re side by side do you notice a difference

Agreed, however seemingly insignificant details can impact the subconscious appreciation of an item. The chunkiness of the maxi case on the 114060 has been pretty much addressed with the new model, giving it a closer feel to the vintage subs. It's a subtle difference, but the devil is in the details. I still love my 114060, but if I was able to choose, I think I'd go with the new one.

Welcome to WC! That is an awesome watch! Congratz on getting the call from your AD! 🍻

Totally agree. The difference is so subtle that at first glance I thought your photo was the newer one.

Welcome to WC! Glad to have you join the family. 😉

Beautiful watch. I might need to change up my Rolex AD ”wishlist”…

Never hurts to pay them a visit and remind them of what’s on your wishlist!
