Annual Holiday Traditions?
Not that anyone in the family cared, but I nominated myself the official timekeeper of the annual holiday jigsaw puzzle. Every year when we visit family in South Texas we do a new jigsaw puzzle. It’s a great way to fill down time between the endless feeding sessions.
Each year we do a 1,000 piece puzzle. Multiple puzzles are brought by different family members in an effort to select the most challenging one possible. This year the King Arthur puzzle was selected. We still managed to finish it in less than 3 days 🙂
Any other holiday traditions folks are enjoying for those who celebrate holidays this time of the year?

We had 7 people working on it, so that helps.
I think I may plagiarise this idea to my mrs & daughter this year.
If it gets their faces out of a phone screen for five min - it’s gotta be a good thing.

Honestly that’s why we started doing it a few years ago. Downtime was people in different corners on their phones. Now we all come to the table throughout the day and work the puzzle together. It’s been great.

Did you look at the box while making it or go in blind?
We used to do the same. Put it out on the table and anyone could dip in whenever they felt like it, guests too. As my son has a disability he can't join in so we've ditched that, but we make a point of playing whatever game he brings round.

It was a good one. We try to do one every year. Getting started is always the hard part. We also don't have any tv for three days. So we had some free hours.
