Here we go... My second SPB185 inspired build!

I just finished my second build.

I know some don't like or straight up hate two tone watches. I belong to that first group. That's why I ventured out of my comfort zone and tried something different.

To tone it down a bit I went with a rubber strap instead of metal bracelet. I used gold hands to tie the applied logo, gold bezel and crown. I also experimented with out of the norm enamel dial.

Unfortunately, the case suffered some scars during the assembly fight. The hands delivered already scratched and the hour markers are silver rather than gold as they should have been 😵‍💫

Again, I'm open to suggestions and criticism with open mind as I'm still learning and honing my skills. So go ahead and hit me, I can take it 😁

Ps. Date and time not adjusted as I was too excited to post. Lume shot will follow 😉

Dude!  The two-tone is gorgeous with that dial!  It really draws attention to the watch, which is great as it's an "art-work" watch!

Thank you my man. That what I was literally aiming for, but I wasn't sure buying stuff online and trying to visualize the end product before I actually have the parts on hand.

You never know how the end result would be 👀

Thank you man 🙏

I very much like the dial and the two-tone configuration. It very much gives it an artsy look. What exactly was the "assembly fight"? I assume it was the crystal installation with the bezel/insert already in place? On one picture it looks like the hour and minute hands may be touching, but that could be the angle, and the fact that the hands themselves are angled.

But be that as it may, I really like the whimsical look of the end result. You did great.

what a beauty!

Happy to tell you nothing is touching so far and it's keeping excellent time for the past few hours.

In regards to the fight. Case bezel was stuck so I had to remove it adjust the pin and put some grease. And because it was stuck it gave me a big fight. Hence the scars 🥺

Looks great! So where did you get the dial? Or did you make it?

That is an awesome build man, looks fantastic! I think it all works, wouldnt change a thing. Might look good on a leather strap 😉

My last build gave me a good fight too. The dial I bought was 1mm to big so I had to sand it down which was alot harder than I anticipated. I also couldnt find a plain black chapter ring so I had to sand the original silver one and paint it black. Its alot of fun in the end though.

I'm glad you like it my friend. I might try a leather strap, but I'm this cae is kinda bulky and I'm skeptical leather will work on it 🧐

And yes, after it's done it's exciting. During the process there is a lot of curse words flying and body parts bent awkwardly trying to put parts together.

I was arrogant and didn't double check before cutting the wrong dial feet 🤬 so I had to improvise and use small pieces of the bezel sticker to hold the dial in place. And it worked 🤣
