Waters watches?

Another of my Dad's from I believe the late 50s? Possibly bought in Aden?

Never heard of Waters and a quick Google got nothing.

Anyone know anything about them?

Microlisk.de lists Watex as registered by Adolf Obrecht SA in Solothurn in 1942. There were 1000s of brands that produced this type of decent, reliable watch.

Automatic, Incabloc, 21 jewels - marks of quality movement.

Case is gold-plated brass and looks in good condition though slightly tricky to tell in the photos. Check the edges, particularly around the lugs, for the gold plating being worn through to the brass.

Above all, it's your Dad's watch - that's special! Service it, enjoy it and it will last a lifetime!

It is not "Waters", it is Watex. According to Mikrolisk it is a brand of Adolf Obrecht, S.A. of Solothurn, Switzerland. It was founded in the 1940's. The Watex trademark was cancelled in 1995, so that's when they went out of business. They were most assuredly an assembleur.
