Looking for a two-piece strap for this guy.

I want something to show of the best caseback engraving in my collection. I'm mostly thinking some sort of brown, or a navy blue to match the bezel. B...

For @Foghorn and others: a comparison between the Islander Port Jeff and a Timex Marlin Sportster from 1973.

I made a comparison to the Marlin in a post today about the Jeff, without showing the Marlin at all.

This is the vintage Timex that lives in my heart, and probably the nicest watch I'll ever own.

This is my second expensive watch: the Islander Port Jeff. It's my first unidirectional clicky bezel, and my first normal screw-down crown. It's so mu...

Kill the cop in your head, dude. I know a lot of people who own fakes of luxury brands and are totally open about it. It's a "fuck you" to the whole concept. They don't care how much money they make, they know they're good enough to look good. Never ever let luxury brands fool you into believing that they are not complicit in the production of fakes of their products. Don't choose a convenient naivety that lets you keep a sort of feudal idea that people shouldn't dress above their stations.

I think I'll post a comparison pic. I also like what Timex is doing, I just think they should do more of it! I was also more commenting on the fact that this is the first Islander to make me think of Timex instead of Seiko or Rolex.

It went away after maybe five-ten minutes. It's -20° F in there. The watch was made in 2022

It's already gone, but this means there's a little bit of moisture inside, right?

My Timex Weekender

A 27th birthday present, haven't worn it for a long time. I'm not really a field watch person, forgot how nice wearing one could be

Trying straps from the drawer (pass-thrus are a no go unfortunately, due to the lugs.) Decent combo or no?

Kind of mustardy
