Reclaiming my Hamilton

A recent discussion here led me to take my Hamilton Khaki Field Automatic out of its box and look at it again.

I removed the rather manky strap that came with it (I had saved it for resale) and put it on a Tuns Leather strap.

After staring at this for a while I decided that the annoying glare from the non-AR crystal was, well, less annoying. And I realized that the colour of the dial was unusual. At least, I had not seen one anywhere else.

So, I took off my watch, as one does, and put on the Hamilton.

Ahh. Hamilton. So satisfying! 👌

A new strap can transform a piece. Great job. Keep it out and wear it.

Sometimes a strap change can give a watch a new life... and lead to more straps than one can count. But Cheers to your reunion with the Hammy!

I removed my original Hammy strap and put a canvas strap on it, huge difference in looks and wear.

I LOVE this watch!! Coasting or not I want one of so bad for my collection!! As I have of as of yet to get a field watch, Hamilton is what I want!

Irony! 😂 The ‘manky strap’ I removed was canvas with a gusset! Ha ha ha.

Ain’t life grand?

It’s the best choice. Don’t settle!

Here’s the model in titanium. The photo doesn’t capture it’s blue complexity.

A simple adjustment! If you're wearing more often then you made a good decision 😉
