Match your watch to your tire inflator.

Seriously this GWM-5610's automatic LED backlight is quickly becoming my favourite digital watch function hands down.

Motion activated when you bring your wrist upwards to look at the watch in low light. It can be turned on or off whenever you like with a long press of the light button.

This feature needs to be added to more G-Shocks ffs.

Got a flat tonight. Put air in my tire just to get me to the closest gas station so I could swap tires in a well lit parking lot.

Full sized spares > Donuts.

Not fun in January but this watch had my back in the cold, as much as any inanimate object can.

I didn't know the motion function was a thing. That's pretty cool.

It's a feature that is very useful. The first watch that I had with auto illumination was a Protrek from 2010 where it "almost worked". The light was a small and dim led and the motion sensor didn't always trigger on time. Therefore I was pleasantly surprised to see that it improved greatly on the M5610 and it became something that I can use without worrying about it.

Love the classic design of these square G-Shocks and how bullet proof they are. The automatic light is a cool feature and agree they should add as a standard feature 👍🏻👍🏻

Thank you very much. I didn't know I had this feature. Particularly useful as the buttons aren't that user friendly really are they. Interestingly my dial reads R.EL with the feature activated.

Anyway, cheers! 👍

"Match your watch to your tire inflator." I'm glad somebody finally had the guts to take this on.
