Perennial products

Not sure if I've got a proper introduction here so I would like to address this subject by presenting here some of my creations and just droping some small info on Peren watches and me.

Hi all I am Andy and I create quirky looking niche watches that are somewhat odd but attractive nonetheless, (as unbiased as I can be;)

A great description of the watches was from a comment on a monochrome article about the new Regia watch:

The watch looks like if Dieter Rams would design shopping malls

I've been at it since a decade now and I got a tenure so will be here for quite a while now:)

Been crafting a unique design codex that I follow with every itteration and I look forward to spread my enthusiastic approach of watchmaking and perennial philosophies while hopefully putting a smile on peoples faces.

Thanks a lot Aape! That exactly right there was my main purpose actually. Interesting Simplicity!

Love the overall look, but I have a question about hands design. I like the watch to be legible, and hands constitute a lot to it: they should not have the similar shape. But on Peren watches you've posted hour and minute hands have virtually the same width and almost same length. Is it made intentionally? Here's an example of what I mean when hands are immediately distinct.

These look awesome. Love the bezels and date at 12!

·

I really like these! I hope to get to try one one some time soon.

·

Have to say they are indeed beautiful pieces, and imagine they'll garner a good following around here, where microbrands seem to flourish.

Thanks a lot for your great feedback Vin! Indeed, it is intentionally as we wanted to do the hour hand as close to the indexes as possible. Thanks for the example. Indeed, Nodus hands are quite different but somehow the same style as they are as close as possible to the indexes.

Thrilled to hear this Adam! Glad you like the bezels and the date at 12H. Actually they are quite unique in the watchmaking world

I hope you're right Bepop and they will garner some good following around here! I'm just starting now on this platform but I can promise that I will be quite active also with posting but especially with creating new iteration of the same design code!

Yes, the hands and dial should complement one another. You may consider to make hour indexes slightly longer or gathered slightly tighter toward the center of the dial. It would force the hour hand to be shorter, thus more distinct.

Great point Vin! That is a great idea actually that I am taking in consideration for the new itteration of this design code which will be called One and will represent oneness as the Regia represents duality, the original Nera pureness and the Nera Rogue, rebelion. Basically all the stages of one's life:)

·

Thanks Andy. Just received an email saying my second Peren (Nera Rogue BW) is on the way. I'm from NYC originally. If you plan to be at the fair I will try to make it, watch on wrist!

·

My pleaasure Fred, hope you like the Rogue BW. Oh yeah that would be amazing to have a chat! Cannot wait to be in NYC for the first time!

·

I am working my way up to getting a Regia X, I don’t know when I’ll have the means to justify it, and if it will still be available by then but I wanted to say it’s so damn attractive, it’s proving to be the right motivator!

·

thanks a lot George!!! Glad you like it! We'll have always a piece for you. I already put one aside
